Service Description

Need an apostille for use overseas? We manage Maryland walk-ins end-to-end. For notarized private documents, Maryland requires two steps: (1) County Clerk certification in the notary’s commission county, then (2) Maryland Secretary of State (Annapolis) apostille. Certified vital/court/agency records usually go straight to the Secretary of State. If your document still needs notarization: I’ll book the notarization (mobile or approved RON) before we start the apostille. After notarization, we proceed County → SOS as required. Non-Hague destinations: After the MD SOS apostille, some countries require embassy/consulate legalization. I’ll prepare and ship the packet to the correct embassy/consulate and manage return. Embassy fees and shipping are billed at cost. Speed options • Same-Day (dedicated run): $135/trip (County+Annapolis: $165) + $25 per additional document • Standard 2–5 business days (batched): $95/trip (County+Annapolis: $125) + $25 per additional document Government fees (separate): MD Secretary of State $5 per document. Shipping/courier & embassy fees (when applicable): at cost with tracking. Include in your request: document type, whether it’s notarized and the notary’s commission county (if yes), destination country, number of documents, Same-Day or Standard, and return method (pickup/meetup or ship). DISCLAIMER: Ink & Trust Notary Services, LLC. is not an attorney, I cannot provide legal advice, and I am not allowed to draft legal documents.

Cancellation Policy

APOSTILLE HANDLING REQUEST POLICY (REQUEST‑ONLY) 1) REQUEST‑ONLY (NOT CONFIRMED) This is a request for review and a quote—NOT a confirmed appointment. After review, approved requests are scheduled for an in‑person document handoff (no walk‑ins). We do not accept document uploads; documents are collected in person. 2) DO NOT MAIL OR DROP OFF UNTIL APPROVED Do not send original documents or visit for a drop‑off until you receive written approval and instructions. Unapproved mail‑ins may be returned or delayed. 3) TRAVEL FEES (IF TRAVEL HAS BEGUN) If an in‑person drop‑off/pick‑up is scheduled and travel has begun, travel fees apply: $0.725 per mile (round trip) + $5. Travel is considered ‘begun’ when the notary departs for the appointment. 4) DROP‑OFFS (BY APPOINTMENT ONLY) Local drop‑offs are by appointment only (no walk‑ins). Drop‑off location/time is provided after your request is approved. 5) FEES, SHIPPING, AND THIRD‑PARTY COSTS Government fees, shipping, and any third‑party costs are separate from handling. Once shipping labels are purchased, fees are paid, or documents are submitted/processed, those costs may be non‑refundable. 6) DOCUMENT ELIGIBILITY + RECEIVING PARTY ACCEPTANCE Eligibility depends on the document type, issuing authority, and destination country requirements. You are responsible for confirming what the receiving party requires. Handling does not guarantee acceptance. 7) CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES You agree to provide accurate information (destination country, issuing state/agency, document type, quantity, timeline). You agree to provide originals when required and to package/ship documents as instructed if using mail‑in. 8) NO LEGAL ADVICE Ink & Trust Notary Services does not provide legal advice, draft documents, or determine what legal actions you should take. If you are unsure, consult the document issuer or an attorney. 9) RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE Ink & Trust may refuse or stop service if the request appears improper, incomplete, outside service scope, or inconsistent with notarial/handling standards.
